Breakfast is included in your stay every morning, and in the evening you can treat yourself, on request, to a three-course dinner that Maťo cooks himself.
And if after a whole day in the mountains you only feel like resting, just settle into the guest lounge and help yourself to something from the self-service fridge.

Mountains outside the door
Mandarfen, with its cable car to Rifflsee, is only 1.5 km away, and the Pitztal glacier is not much further. In winter you are on your skis within minutes, and in summer you can set off on mountain hikes straight from the guesthouse.

OUR STORY
From Prague to the heart of the Pitztal
Behind Pension Dorfplatzl is Martin Streško, whom nobody calls anything but Maťo. He has more than 30 years in gastronomy and hospitality behind him. In Prague he was there at the birth of the cult Hapu bar, and later ran his own gourmet bistro, Martin’s, where he cooked and drew on international cuisine.
In 2024 he traded the bustle of the city for the quiet of the Tyrolean mountains and the nearby Pitztal glacier. Today he looks after the guests of Pension Dorfplatzl in person and, of course, cooks for them as well.
His wife Michaela, a graphic designer, lives in Plangeross with him part of the time. If you meet her at the guesthouse, she is most likely working on the design of another educational book. Her feel for art and design finds its way naturally into the atmosphere of the house.
And last but not least, Dorfplatzl would not be complete without Manu the pointer, Maťo’s right hand, who keeps a close eye on everything in the guesthouse and reliably lifts the mood of its guests.
